Peruzzo is a family winery in Bagé, in the Campanha Gaúcha of southern Brazil, making still and sparkling wine from its own vineyards. This is the 2023 Cabernet Franc, a red: 14% alcohol and 6 months in oak barrels, half French and half American. The producer cites red-fruit jam, spices and tobacco, and speaks of power with softness, round tannins and a lot of volume in the mouth. It suggests red and roast meats, lamb, fatty cuts, rich sauces and hard aged cheeses, served at 16 to 18 °C. It is not in the X-Wines base, so it has no rating from drinkers yet. Had it?
