The house
About Vinhozinho
Pioneers in making wine simple in Brazil, since 2012. We took a break. We're back, and bigger.
Vinhozinho was born in 2012 with a simple mission: to talk about wine the way normal people talk, no sommelier-speak, no ceremony, no fear of getting it wrong. The community grew, partnerships followed with wineries in Brazil and abroad, and so did the certainty that Brazil was thirsty for a lighter way to learn.
In this new phase, the site pairs who we've always been with a new standard: every piece of content cites its source (legislation, Embrapa, the WHO, and never “people say”), rankings decided by the community and tools to help you choose better while spending less.
Our principles
- Our opinion is not for sale. Advertising, if there ever is any, will always be labelled, and only for products that passed the house's test: things we actually drink, have tried and approved. Anything dubious doesn't get in for any amount of money; we don't need it, and even if we did, character isn't on the shelf. Ranking positions can't be bought.
- Nobody here says “you can't.” Pairing is a suggestion; your palate decides.
- Wine is pleasure, not medicine. We're honest about what science says, even when the myth was on our side.
- We want to make money — and we say so without shame. But the decent way: delivering the same value in information, with labelled ads and the house's test. Whoever pays the bill doesn't buy the opinion.
- We tell the truth, no matter who it stings. Even about wine itself: meet The Inconvenient Truth.
- Always 18+, always in moderation.
Vinhozinho is a product bottled without hurry by Nada S/A, the same house behind Suco de Uva, the alcohol-free sibling with the same obsession with sources.
