Peruzzo

Moscatel

A sparkling wine from Serra Gaúcha, Brazil. A blend of Muscat/Moscato and Malvasia.

The house says

Peruzzo is a family winery in Bagé, in the Campanha Gaúcha of southern Brazil. For this sparkling wine, the producer names the Serra Gaúcha as the origin. This is the Moscatel sparkling wine, made from 80% Moscato Branco and 20% Malvasia, from the Serra Gaúcha: made by the Asti process, with the bubbles taken in an autoclave from the fresh must, and 7.5% alcohol. Sweet, with 75 g/L of residual sugar. The producer mentions lychee, peach, green apple and jasmine, with creaminess and freshness. It suggests desserts and fresh fruit. It is not in the X-Wines base, so it has no rating from drinkers yet. Had it? Toast and tell us.

Basic details checked by the house in Sep 2026; acidity will be added once the house checks the label.

No rating from drinkers yetThis label isn't in the X-Wines database, where the search ratings come from. The house added it because the community asked; the house doesn't make up ratings. The community rating, just below, is a different one: it comes from cellar members.
Had it already? Give it a Cheers and tell us on Open Bottle: that's how it gets a voice.

Are you this wine's producer?

This page comes from the public X-Wines database or from what the house read on the producer's website. Whoever makes the wine knows best: send the official tech sheet, correct what's wrong or ask for it to come down. No producer pays to get in, to move up or to leave, and the sheet you send takes precedence over any other source.

A label outside X-Wines, an open scientific dataset (de Azambuja, R. X. et al., 2023): basic details gathered and checked by the house, in the month shown under “The house says”; no rating, because ratings aren't made up. The price range is the one the house saw at big stores in Brazil, in the month shown: the price changes, the range tends to stay. Shipping isn't included. The house doesn't sell wine.
