Kaiken Disobedience by Francis Mallmann Red Blend

A red wine from Mendoza, Argentina. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot and Petit Verdot.

The house says

The red Kaiken, from Mendoza, makes with Argentine chef Francis Mallmann, with Chilean Aurelio Montes as consulting winemaker. The blend changes every vintage: in 2021, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from Vistalba with Malbec and Petit Verdot from Los Chacayes, in the Uco Valley, fermented in concrete and given 15 months in French oak. Black fruit, a touch of violet and spice, fine tannins. The sheet says nothing about food; the house suggests beef, lamb or a barbecue. It isn't in the X-Wines database, so it has no rating from drinkers yet. Had it? Cheer and tell.

Basic details checked by the house in Oct 2026; acidity will be added once the house checks the label.

No rating from drinkers yetThis label isn't in the X-Wines database, where the search ratings come from. The house added it because the community asked; the house doesn't make up ratings. The community rating, just below, is a different one: it comes from cellar members.
Had it already? Give it a Cheers and tell us on Open Bottle: that's how it gets a voice.

A label outside X-Wines, an open scientific dataset (de Azambuja, R. X. et al., 2023): basic details gathered and checked by the house, in the month shown under “The house says”; no rating, because ratings aren't made up. The price range only shows up once the house checks it at a big store in Brazil; this one hasn't been checked yet. Finds with the price checked on the date are in The Garimpo.

Are you this wine's producer?

This page comes from the public X-Wines database or from what the house read on the producer's website. Whoever makes the wine knows best: send the official tech sheet, correct what's wrong or ask for it to come down. No producer pays to get in, to move up or to leave, and the sheet you send takes precedence over any other source.
