Bernard-Massard Cuvée de l'Écusson Brut

A sparkling wine from Moselle, Luxembourg. A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Riesling.

The house says

Luxembourg's best-known sparkling wine, from Bernard-Massard, the country's largest sparkling house, on the banks of the Moselle. It's Crémant de Luxembourg, made by the traditional method, with the second fermentation in the bottle, like Champagne, and the house has made it since 1971. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, with a little Pinot Noir and Riesling: fresh, fine-bubbled, brut. Good as an aperitif, with shellfish and with fish. It isn't in the X-Wines database, so it has no rating from drinkers yet. Had it? Cheer and tell.

Basic details checked by the house in Oct 2026; acidity will be added once the house checks the label.

No rating from drinkers yetThis label isn't in the X-Wines database, where the search ratings come from. The house added it because the community asked; the house doesn't make up ratings. The community rating, just below, is a different one: it comes from cellar members.
Had it already? Give it a Cheers and tell us on Open Bottle: that's how it gets a voice.

Checked by the house: base data gathered from the producer's source in Oct 2026.

A label outside X-Wines, an open scientific dataset (de Azambuja, R. X. et al., 2023): basic details gathered and checked by the house, in the month shown under “The house says”; no rating, because ratings aren't made up. The price range only shows up once the house checks it at a big store in Brazil; this one hasn't been checked yet. Finds with the price checked on the date are in The Garimpo.

Are you this wine's producer?

This page comes from the public X-Wines database or from what the house read on the producer's website. Whoever makes the wine knows best: send the official tech sheet, correct what's wrong or ask for it to come down. No producer pays to get in, to move up or to leave, and the sheet you send takes precedence over any other source.
