Quinta da Perpita Alfrocheiro

A red wine from Dão, Portugal. Made only from Alfrocheiro Preto.

The house says

Alfrocheiro on its own, a rare thing: in the Dão the grape usually goes into blends, adding colour and fruit to Touriga Nacional and Jaen reds. Here it comes alone, 100%, from a six-hectare estate in Oliveira de Barreiros, unirrigated, with old vines looking out at the Serra da Estrela. Alfrocheiro tends to give deep colour and red fruit; since the producer publishes no technical sheet, body, acidity and alcohol stay blank until the house reads the back label. The house's suggestion for the table: meat, pork, poultry, pasta and medium-aged cheese. Not in the X-Wines database, so no rating from people who drank it: it came in because the community asked for it. Had it? Raise a glass and tell us.

Basic details checked by the house in Sep 2026; alcohol content and acidity will be added once the house checks the label.

No rating from drinkers yetThis label isn't in the X-Wines database, where the search ratings come from. The house added it because the community asked; the house doesn't make up ratings. The community rating, just below, is a different one: it comes from cellar members.

Quick answers

Is Quinta da Perpita Alfrocheiro any good?

No rating from drinkers yet: this label is outside the X-Wines database, and the house does not make ratings up. Had it? The community rating, at the top of this page, is yours to give.

How much does Quinta da Perpita Alfrocheiro cost?

The house has not checked this one's price in stores yet. If you have seen it for sale, tap the range in “Know what it costs?”, just above: the most pointed out get checked first.

Are you this wine's producer?

This page comes from the public X-Wines database or from what the house read on the producer's website. Whoever makes the wine knows best: send the official tech sheet, correct what's wrong or ask for it to come down. No producer pays to get in, to move up or to leave, and the sheet you send takes precedence over any other source.

Goes well with

Red meat, pork, poultry, pasta and semi-aged cheese.

A suggestion, not a rule: if you liked it another way, you're right.

A label outside X-Wines, an open scientific dataset (de Azambuja, R. X. et al., 2023): basic details gathered and checked by the house, in the month shown under “The house says”; no rating, because ratings aren't made up. The price range only shows up once the house checks it at a big store in Brazil; this one hasn't been checked yet. Finds with the price checked on the date are in The Garimpo.
